Blink and you really have missed them: resale general admission tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival have flown out the door, taking just six minutes for them all to disappear.

That tiny window trumps what happened earlier this week, too.

On Thursday, when coach resale tickets were put live, they were all gone within 10 minutes.

It's not known how many tickets for each resale wave were available to purchase, but it was widely tipped that demand was always going to outstrip supply.

This year, a new way of tickets has been implemented, in a bid to make the system fairer for everyone and to stop the website doing the classic thing we've all experienced at some point in our lives: crashing when you get to the front of the queue.

For the 2023 resale, punters had to sign up for a place in the queue, and when the lucky ones got to the front, secure the tickets by supplying their email address.

Those buying the tickets then have a day to get them paid, via a link sent to the fans' inboxes.

Despite the fairer process developed by the festival, that's not stopped some people expressing their views on social media.

On Twitter, Luke Chamberlain joked: "How many tickets were in resale, 3?".

Others were more positive, with Bobbie Bolt saying: "Well done to all who managed to get the remaining golden tickets. If you have never been before, you are in for a treat. Life is never be quite the same again one you get bitten by the Glastonbury bug".

There is one last opportunity to secure tickets for this year's festival - See Tickets have confirmed a 'limited amount' of returned campervan tickets, Worthy View and Sticklinch accommodation will go on sale next week.
