Plenty of us will be heading out with friends to count down the clock to 2023, but how much does it cost to celebrate New Year's Eve where you are?

In a year which has seen us be more conscious with spending money due to cost of living crisis, new research from AskGamblers.com has broken down the average price of a night out by city.

Figures show that Dundee is the most affordable night out in the UK this New Year's Eve - with an average cost of £25.35 per person - including drinks, fast-food and taxi fare.

It's good news for non-English cities, with the top three most affordable places for a New Year's night out falling in Scotland or Wales.

However, it was Leeds that provided the cheapest fast-food meal (£4.82) and Leicester that had the cheapest pint in the UK (£3.03).

On the other end of the chart, England's capital tops the list of least of affordable locations to spend your evening celebrating.

Figures show it's an average cost of £49.66 per person in London, which is almost double that in Dundee, and including a whopping £12 cocktail.
