Police are appealing for information following a stabbing in Middlesbrough.

Officers received a call from paramedics reporting that a 38-year-old man had suffered a stab wound and was found on Brogden Green at around 4:40pm yesterday (Friday 26th July).

An incident is believed to have happened on Dunholm Avenue before the man made his way to Brogden Green.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where he remains whilst receiving treatment.

Enquiries are ongoing and Middlesbrough CID officers would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Dunholm Avenue to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 141743.
