Three people have been arrested over an incident where several cars on a driveway were set alight in Middlesbrough.
In the early hours of 21st of May this year, emergency services were called to reports that several vehicles had been deliberately set alight on a driveway at a private address in Marton.
Multiple lines of enquiry were immediately opened including evidence gathering, taking of statements, examination of CCTV systems, house to house enquiries and forensic investigation amongst others.
Yesterday, Friday 15th August, two women (26 and 38) and a man (49) were arrested in connection with the incident.
The man and the older woman were questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life and on suspicion of stalking involving fear of violence.
The younger woman was arrested on suspicion of stalking involving fear of violence.
All three have been released on bail with conditions whilst enquiries continue.
