Teen taken to hospital after reports of shots fired in Middlesborough
Police are appealing for help to find the people involved
Police were called to flats in the Scholars Rise area of Middlesbrough around 11:10pm on Sunday evening, where a firearm is believed to have been discharged and suspects made off from the scene, possibly on off-road bikes.
An 18-year-old man suffered injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Enquiries are being carried out to identify those responsible, and police will continue to maintain a highly visible presence in the area over the coming days to help offer reassurance to the local community.
