An investigation is underway

Emergency services and CSI teams are at the scene of an alleged stabbing in Stockton.

Cleveland police were called out yesterday, (Thursday 30th Aug) at 9.40pm following reports of a group of men in possession of weapons.

Officers swiftly attended the scene at Dunoon Close and located a 45-year-old man with a knife wound to his head.

He was taken to North Tees General Hospital by ambulance and has since been discharged.

Following further enquiries, a property on Honeycomb Avenue was searched by officers and a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violence against the person.
