Man charged after Grangetown violence

It follows disorder and violence in the area on Thursday

A man has been charged in connection with a number of violent incidents in the Grangetown area.

The 32-year-old arrested on Friday (17 October) following disorder in Richmond Court.

He has been charged with offences including Dangerous Driving, Driving Whilst Disqualified, Possession of a Bladed Article and Possession of a Class A drug.

The man has been remanded in custody and will appear at court on Monday (20 October).

Investigations remain ongoing following violence in Grangetown on Thursday (16 October).

A 27-year-old man was arrested by officers on Saturday (18 October) and remains in police custody.

Cleveland Police said officers will remain in the area providing reassurance to local residents.
