Officers were called out to Collingham Drive around 4 thirty to reports a firearm had been discharged and a BMW set alight
No one was injured.
Suspects are believed to have made off in a vehicle.
High visibility patrols will be carried out in the area to reassure the public. Anyone who may have concerns or information is encouraged to speak to these officers, or call 101.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have seen the incident, or may have CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to contact Cleveland Police.
