Family fitness fun, and some TV legends, promised at Teesside Ninja Warrior

Ninja Warrior UK Teesside is set to host an exhilarating family fitness event on Friday, 20th September, featuring Ninja Warrior UK TV hosts, local legend Chris Kamara and Ben Shephard. The event aims to inspire a new wave of fitness enthusiasm among children and families in the North East, promoting fun, engaging ways to stay active, and encouraging time away from screens.
As physical activity trends shift among younger people, Ninja Warrior UK Teesside is playing its role in encouraging healthier, more active lifestyles through its destination that makes exercise enjoyable and accessible for everyone. The event will showcase how the park’s dynamic environment encourages more active habits for kids and families, encouraging not just occasional activity but a more consistent, lifestyle-oriented approach to fitness.
In line with this mission, the event also introduces Ninja Warrior UK’s September and October campaign, Nominate a Mate. This initiative invites participants to nominate a mate to join them in taking on the Ninja Warrior UK challenge, with a 2-for-1 voucher to reward the nominee. The campaign aims to bring more families and friends together to experience the joy of fitness with friendly competition.
Chris Kamara, a Middlesbrough native, will be joined by Ben Shephard to host the event and kick off each session with their signature energy and enthusiasm. Chris Kamara’s former school, St Pius X Catholic Primary School, will be taking part in the opening session, giving pupils the opportunity to take on the Ninja Warrior UK Teesside course and experience firsthand the thrill of the challenge.

The event is open to the public, with two available sessions at 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
