Two Ipswich Town players among League One Team of the Season

Two Ipswich Town stars have been named among the League One Team of the Season at the EFL Awards in London over the weekend.

Forward Conor Chaplin and left back Leif Davis were recognised along with nine others from football's third tier at the EFL awards in London over the weekend.

Conor is the Blues’ top goalscorer so far this term, having netted 26 times in all competitions.

Leif, who joined over the summer from Leeds, has provided 12 assists, scoring three times.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany was named Championship manager of the season after guiding the Clarets to promotion.

Middlesbrough forward Chuba Akpom was named Championship player of the season, ahead of fellow nominees Josh Brownhill of Burnley and Coventry's Victor Gyokeres.

Plymouth boss Steven Schumacher, whose side sit top of the table, was voted the League One manager of the season - with Ipswich's Kieran McKenna also nominated.

The League One player of the season went to Bristol Rovers forward Aaron Collins, who has 16 goals and 11 assists so far - the only player in the division to reach double figures in both categories.

Plymouth's Bali Mumba, on loan from Norwich, was named the League One young player of the year, ahead of Town's Cameron Humphreys.
