Two arrested in connection with car theft in Kessingland

Two people have been arrested in in connection with the theft of a vehicle from Kessingland alongside other offences.

A car was reported stolen on Thursday 4 April from an address in Kessingland near Lowestoft.

Later that day offers stopped the vehicle in Oulton Road North, Lowestoft, with two people inside the vehicle arrested. A hammer, an amount of cash and suspected drugs were located inside the vehicle.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply Class B or C drugs and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

She was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre before being bailed to return to police on 23 May.

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving with excess drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre and bailed to return to police on 23 May.
