Three men have been arrested after a series of dawn raids in Bury St Edmunds early yesterday (March 7).

Officers from the British Transport Police and Suffolk Police targeted three different addresses in connection with alleged county lines durg dealing.

An investigation was launched in November last year after a man was stopped at Stratford station in London and ound to be in possession of items connected to the sale of drugs.

Yesterday, police seized Class A drugs suspected to be cocaine, as well as more than 1,000 pills; believed to be Class C.

Officers also found over £1,000 in cash and mobile phones thought to be used in the sale of drugs.

Two men, aged 37 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of Money Laundering and Conspiracy to Supply Class A and B drugs

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Conspiracy to Supply Class A, B and C drugs.

British Transport Police Chief Inspector Rachel Griffiths said: “The criminals organising the supply of drugs are having a detrimental impact on the most vulnerable members of our communities, all for their own financial gain.

“Working with our policing colleagues across England, Scotland and Wales, we’re tackling this crime type wherever it occurs, tracking down those at the top of the supply chain and bringing them to justice.”
