Suffolk police officer charged with coercive control and theft after incidents in Essex

The 28 year old currently suspended from police duties.

A serving Suffolk police officer has been charged with three counts of coercive control and one count of theft.

28 year old Andrew Bedding from Ipswich is charged with the offences that took place in Essex at Witham between 1 January 2018 and 1 July 2019, a second count on 1 February 2019 in Braintree and one at Halstead on 1 April 2022.

The theft took place on 1 February 2022 in Basildon.

He is due to appear before Colchester Magistrates Court for a first hearing on Thursday 4 April.

The 28 year old police constable is currently suspended from duties.
