Ipswich betting shop staff threatened and robbed

Cash was stolen from the store in Ipswich.

A betting shop in Ipswich has been robbed, with a quantity of cash stolen.

A man went into Betfred in Carr Street between 5pm and 5.15pm on Thursday 15th July.

After being inside for a short while, he went behind the counter, threatened staff, before making off with cash.

Officers want to hear from anyone who was inside the shop between 4.45pm and 5.15pm, or who was in Carr Street during the same timeframe and saw anyone acting suspiciously.

The suspect is described as black, approximately 6ft tall, and was wearing a grey Le Coq Sportif hooded top.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting referenece 38441/21.
