A Newmarket man has been jailed for almost three years for drugs offences.

34 year old Tobias Stevens of Howard de Walden Way will serve a 32 month sentence after admitting two counts of being concerned in supplying class A drugs between January and 23 February this year.

He was arrested after a police raid on his home in February, with police determining a mobile phone has been used to send bulk text messages to drug users in the area.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Wilkins said: “This sentence follows a thorough investigation that led to a guilty plea from Stevens."

"Drug dealing has a hugely detrimental impact on our local communities and can have devastating effects on people’s lives.

"Suffolk Constabulary remains committed to tackling and dismantling all of those involved in drug supply.”
