A man has been rescued from a house fire in Lowestoft, which also led to the evacuation of several neighbouring homes this morning.

Flames broke out on the first floor of a property on Bloodmoor Road at around 8:30am this morning.

10 people had to leave their houses as firefighters from across Suffolk fought the flames.

One person was left in the care of the ambulance service and no other injuries were reported.

An investigation will now try to determine the cause of the fire.
