Two people have been safely rescued from a thatched roof fire in Little Thurlow, near Haverhill.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service tells us it was called out to Church Road around 6:30pm last night (6th February 2025) to reports the roof was up in flames and has collapsed.

It took fifteen firefighter crews from Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire three and a half hours to put out.

Investigations will take place today to work out what caused the blaze.
