A Suffolk MP is calling for the Home Office to introduce more off-shore processing centres for those looking to come to the UK.

Tom Hunt asked the question in Parliament as pressure builds on the Government to reduce the number of small boat crossings coming from France.

He said: "Millions of people voted to leave the European Union. They did so to take back control of our borders, no if no buts, and on our own terms and not only if the French agree.

"Therefore does the minister agree with me that in the spirit of taking back control we need to intensify our movements to off-shore proceeds which we know were successful in Australia. When they was introduced the numbers fell off a cliff straight away."

The Government say its a complicated issue, but they're introducing plans to tackle the problem.
