Ipswich Buses is to bring back four bus services which were suspended amid national staff shortages.
The company says its going to 'incrementally' reintroduce buses along the routes, which went down to a reduced service in October, after recruiting more drivers.
It includes the Route 8 between Ipswich Central and the Anglia Retail Park, Route 9/10 between Ipswich Central and Whitton & Castle Hill and Route 13 between Ipswich Central and Copdock Tesco.
Route 8 was reinstated yesterday, while the 13 will follow on the 17th. Routes 9 and 10 will return on January 2 next year.
Dan Basset, Managing Director, Ipswich Buses, says:
“We are pleased to see the improvements in our recruitment processes improve our establishment position, and to be reinstating journeys."
"We appreciate there are still some journeys suspended, and we are doing everything we can to resume normal services as soon as possible.”
