Teen in hospital with life threatening injuries after crashing into tree in Hepworth

Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Hepworth.

Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at 10.25pm on Friday 2 February to reports of a single-vehicle collision in Summer Road.

A silver Ford Fiesta left the road to the nearside and collided with a tree. The driver, an 18-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he remains.

The road was closed until 6.20am on Saturday morning for collision investigation work to be completed.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage.
