28 new electric vehicle chargers being installed in parts of Suffolk
They'll go in council-run car parks
28 new electric vehicle charging points are being installed in parts of Suffolk - starting this week.
Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are set to install 28 new electric vehicle chargers across their car park network, in a bid to make it easier for people to go electric.
They'll go in at council-run car parks in Stowmarket, Lavenham, Hadleigh and Sudbury.
The chargers are being funded by a £300K grant from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).
Each charging point will be able to charge two vehicles at the same time.
Mid Suffolk car parks due to benefit from the new chargers are:

“Installing many more EV charging points in Mid Suffolk is an exciting step forward that supports greener forms of transport, helps our residents reduce carbon emissions and improves air quality.
“I look forward to seeing the chargers in use in coming months!”
