Disused Ipswich ticket hut could become new coffee kiosk
Plans would see a disused kiosk at Tower Ramparts car park brought back into use
Plans are in to turn a disused ticket hut in Ipswich into a new coffee kiosk.
Received yesterday, the BakeHouse Coffee Co plans would bring some life into a now vacant ticket kiosk in Tower Ramparts car park on Crown Street.
Currently, the small building has been left ‘in a poor state of repair’, with pre-application advice indicating the redevelopment would ‘significantly improve the appearance of the structure’.
Should the plans go ahead, however, they could mean the removal of a section of railings and a parking space which sits in front of the hatch in order to ‘allow for safe and accessible access’.
The proposed works would take four weeks to be completed, with amenity implications currently being studied.
