Air scrubbers deployed at Ipswich Hospital in bid to stop infections
The hospital trust has spent £180,000 on the devices, which have now been deployed on wards

New air cleaning machines have been deployed at Ipswich Hospital to cut down on the risk of infections spreading.
A total of £180,000 has been spent by the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust on buying 200 of the air scrubbers, which suck in viral particles.
The air is then purified before being released back into the environment.
The devices will also be deployed in clinical areas at Colchester Hospital, Clacton Hospital and community hospitals in East Suffolk.
Its hoped the move will reduce the spread of things like Covid-19.
