Delays on A14 following crash near Bury St Edmunds

The A14 in Suffolk is closed Westbound between J44 and J43 near Bury St Edmunds following a serious collision.

Police were called to the scene around 2:30am this morning.

Delays are expected to continue into the morning.

Drivers are being advised to expect delays.

A number of diversions are in place:

Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the below diversion route

Exit the A14 at J44 Moreton Hall, take the first exit and continue on the A134 to the roundabout with the A1302.

At the roundabout take the second exit and continue on the A1302 through Bury St Edmunds to the A1302/A143/A1101 roundabout.

Take the second exit onto the A143 and re-join the A14 westbound at J43 St Saviours.

Road users travelling eastbound are advised to follow the below diversion route

Exit the A14 at J43 St Saviours and take the A143 into Bury St Edmunds to the A143/A1101/A1302 roundabout.

At the roundabout take the second exit and follow the A1302 through Bury St Edmunds to the A1302/A134 roundabout.

At the roundabout take the second exit and follow the A134 to re-join the A14 eastbound J44 Moreton Hall.
