We're making some changes at Hits Radio

We will be making some changes to some of our Hits Radio breakfast shows across England from the 6th June 2025. We've put together some questions and answers to take you through these upcoming changes.

When will the national Breakfast Show roll out on Hits Radio?

The Hits Radio Breakfast Show will be broadcast across England and Wales from Monday June 9th.

When will my local Hits Radio Breakfast shows be ending?

Our local programming will end on Friday 6th June.

Will you be changing the music that you play?

You’ll still be able to hear all of the biggest hits and biggest throwbacks on the station including songs from Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Harry Styles to Eminem and Rihanna.

Does this mean that Hits Radio will no longer be a local station?

You’ll still be able to find all the same local elements, including local news and information, traffic and travel. We’ll still be supporting fundraising for disadvantaged young people within the community through our Cash for Kids charity and will also continue to provide advertising opportunities for local businesses.

Why are you making a change to my local show?

We are incredibly grateful for the contribution our local teams have made to the Hits Radio network over the years and we wish them the very best for the future. As with all media outlets, schedules change and evolve over the years and with an ever-changing audio landscape we truly believe that one national Breakfast show gives our listeners the best access to artists, entertainment and chances to win.
