Tributes are being paid to a man killed in a crash in South Staffordshire.
Mark Lucas, who's from Shropshire, died after a crash involving his pickup truck, a tractor, and a lorry near Lichfield on the 19 December.
The 64-year-old has been described as a ‘beloved husband, devoted father and besotted grandpa’, who was ‘dedicated to his family and friends’.
In a statement, his family said: “He was a true outdoorsman, he had a thirst for adventure and was never happier than with his family on his boat, exploring in his Land Rover or out shooting in the fields.
“Always the first to help others, Mark will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and endless optimism that was infectious to all that knew him.
“The void that he leaves behind in our lives is too vast to put into words and too deep to ever be filled."
An investigation is continuing into the multi-vehicle crash, which took place on Watling Street, Weeford, at around 4.50pm on the 19th.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving calls of a crash involving Mark's Ford Ranger pick-up truck, a blue tractor and a yellow Volvo lorry. Despite efforts of paramedics, Mark was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the lorry and the tractor were not injured, and have been assisting police as part of their investigations.
Officers wants anyone who saw anything, or who might have dashcam footage, to contact them on 101 quoting incident 553 of 19 December.
