Three men arrested in suspected Tamworth fraud case

A team of officers have seized suspected stolen jewellery, thousands of pounds in cash and arrested three men in Tamworth.
It's part of their investigations into potential fraud - with a warrant carried out at a car valeting business on Albert Road yesterday morning (21 March).
Three men are being questioned in custody, whilst police are currently investigating where the jewellery has come from.
A 41-year-old man, from Warwickshire, has been arrested on suspicion of fraud and handling stolen goods. He is being questioned in custody.
Two other men, aged 42 and 31, from Tamworth, have been arrested on suspicion of fraud.
DC Dave Stubbs, the officer in the case, said: “Officers have worked proactively to carry out the arrests today and are actively investigating the findings

Fraud accounts for about 41 per cent of all crime reports, and costs more than £6-billion each year in England and Wales.
Officers took part in a national crackdown recently and seized nearly £40,000-worth of cash and arrested six people in Staffordshire.
