Report of two men with gun in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Police are trying to find out more about an incident where it was reported two men had a gun in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Officers were called out a 4pm on Wednesday 2 April to Long Lane, Kidsgrove, when the men were seen. They drove off in a blue car.

Armed officers and dog units carried out a thorough search of the area, including one home, but no weapon or any suspects were found.

No-one was reported injured.

Staffordshire Police said:

"Our investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to get in touch, particularly those with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage.
