Man charged following a non-stop fatal collision in Stoke-on-Trent
It follows a collision on Newcastle Lane in Penkhull in April
A man has been charged with a series of offences following a non-stop fatal collision in Stoke-on-Trent.
Leon Salt, aged 20, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, handling stolen goods, driver of a vehicle failing to stop after a road accident, driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident fail to report that accident, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
It's after a collision on Newcastle Lane in Penkhull on 11th April.
A car collided with a pedestrian, 51-year-old Christopher Deaville, who sadly died as a result of his injuries.
Specialist officers are continuing to support Christopher’s family.
Salt was also charged with a series of other offences relating to separate incidents.
He was charged with escape from lawful custody, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, handling stolen goods, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving a motor vehicle without third party insurance and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
