Man seriously assaulted outside Stoke-on-Trent bar
A 17-year-old boy is being questioned
An investigation is underway after a man was seriously assaulted outside a bar in Stoke-on-Trent.
Police were called to Bar360, on New Hall Street in Hanley, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim was knocked unconscious and had to be taken to hospital, where his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
In a statement, Staffordshire police said: "We’re appealing for information following a serious assault in Stoke-on-Trent.
"We were called to New Hall Street in Hanley, just outside Bar 360, at about 5.30am on Sunday (7 July), after a young man assaulted another man.
"Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
"The victim was left unconscious in the street and was later taken to hospital. His injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time."
