Zabaletta rules out January move
City defender could leave in the Summer.
Pablo Zabaleta insists he is not planning to go anywhere in the January transfer window but has refused to rule out leaving the Etihad in the Summer.
A knee injury has limited the Argentine to just seven games this season but he has featured in their last two matches, a 3-0 win at Norwich in the FA Cup and their 4-0 defeat of Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Zabaleta, who turned 31 on Saturday, moved to City from Espanyol for £6.5m in August 2008 and has since made 285 appearances for the club establishing himself as a fans’ favourite.
The full back noted:
"At the end of this season I will have one more year left on my contract," he said.
"Normally the end of this season will be the time to decide what we will do.
"As a player I think I still have two or three years left to play at the top level, but in football things change quickly.
"I am enjoying myself at this great club, and at the end of this season we will have a conversation.
"I want to finish the season here and am not thinking of going anywhere in January."
