United sponsor boss criticises team's style of play
The boss of one Manchester United’s biggest sponsors has criticised the team’s style of play.
Herbert Hainer CEO of kit manufacturers Adidas stated in a recent interview:
“Business with Man United is going very well, we sell more shirts than expected,”
He told the newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung. “We are satisfied … even if the current playing style of Man United is not exactly what we want to see.”
United signed a kit deal with Adidas last year worth £750 million and Hainer’s comments could add more pressure on to Reds manager Louis Van Gaal.
