United boss could be leaving this summer

Louis Van Gaal could be set to walk away from the club this summer according to the latest reports.

It’s been claimed the under-fire Reds boss has been feeling the pressure since United’s inconsistent performances throughout the season and he could end his contract a year ahead of schedule.

Van Gaal’s Old Trafford deal expires next year but this season’s results have raised doubts over whether he’s the right man to continue past the current campaign.

Despite the 1-0 win at Anfield last week, many felt the performance was uninspiring and has left fans questioning United’s contention for the league title and Van Gaal’s role within the club.

The Dutchman still claims United can challenge for the title despite sitting in fifth place - seven points below current leaders, Arsenal.

United’s next game is at home to Southampton this Saturday.
