Jose Mourinho will go head to head with Pep Guardiola for the second time this season after United were drawn against City in the League Cup.

The two sides will face each other at Old Trafford for their last 16 clash next month after they both won their away ties last night.

United defeated Northampton Town 3-1 thanks to goals from Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford. City defeated Swansea City 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium with goals from Gael Clichy and Aleix Garcia. Skipper Vincent Kompany left the field late on in the game with an injury - after the Blues had already made all three substitutions.

The next round clash at Old Trafford will take place the week beginning 24th October.
