Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has warned incoming Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, that he’ll have to adapt quickly to succeed in English football.
Speaking earlier on Sky Sports news, the Scotsman said: “Man City have got a real coup in getting him because he’s an outstanding coach but Pep won’t find it as easy - every foreign coach who has come to England will tell you that.
“I don’t think he’ll ever replicate what he did at Barcelona but that’s such a high standard, they were the best.”
Guardiola, who currently manages German side, Bayern Munich, will take at City once the 2015/2016 season is over.
He is best known for his glittering spell as Barcelona manager where, in just four years, he helped the club pick up 14 pieces of silverware including three consecutive league titles and two Champions League honours.
His new side, Manchester City, are currently fourth in the English Premier League with eight games remaining.
Meanwhile, outgoing manager, Manuel Pellegrini, has reportedly attracted interest from Valencia.
The Spanish top division side are in the market for a new manager after sacking former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, earlier this week.
