City's Champions League group campaign got off to an emphatic start with a 4-0 win over German side Borussia Monchengladbach at the Eithad last night.

Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick as Pep Guardiola's side blew their opponents away - with Kelechi Iheanacho grabbing the fourth.

It took just eight minutes for the Blues to take the lead and they never looked back as the visitors struggled to contain a rampant City side.

Guardiola was full of praise for his striker:

"Sergio is one of the best, no doubts about that. He has a special quality in the box. He's a special player.

I never won before against this coach and he always creates a lot of problems for my team but we created a really good performance, except for 10-15 minutes in the first half.''
