Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony has said that he has no regrets about joining the club and has no intention to leave.

The 27-year-old has recently been linked with a return to former club Swansea where he left last January for a fee of £28 million, but Bony has dismissed the rumours. He said: “I’m happy at the club; all this speculation is not true.”

The Ivory Coast international has been under-fire over his recent performances for the club. 12 months on from his move to the Etihad, on a four and a half year deal, Bony has only made 11 Premier League starts for City so far.

Although scoring eight goals for the blues in 23 games, Bony has been dropped to the bench more often since leading striker Sergio Aguero returned from injury in December.

He added: “I have no regrets about joining Man City. We play in the Champions League and we’re one of the top clubs in the world. I am happy here and I can just say I’m blessed”.

After missing out on the last few games with an ankle injury, Bony is set to return to face Aston Villa away in the fourth round of the FA Cup on January 30th.
