Sheffield Wednesday has confirmed all players have been paid, a week later than when they should have been.

In a statement last week the Owls blamed 'cashflow issues' related to businesses owned by Chairman Dejphon Chansiri for the delayed pay packets.

A fresh press released released earlier today. says: "Sheffield Wednesday can confirm that all outstanding player salaries have been satisfied for the month of March."

"We thank everyone for their patience and understanding."

The delay in paying out wages had left some Owls fans fearing another transfer embargo.

In a post match press conference, following this weekend's 1 - 0 defeat to Hull City, boss Danny Rohl alluded to the controversy.

"I think we should speak about my group today. I'm very proud of the team. For me, the character of this group is outstanding since I arrived here, with all the setbacks we had together" he said.

"We never give up, with all the things around us, especially off the pitch, we never give up. We try to focus on what we can influence.

"Since I'm here, I saw a team who never complain about anything off the pitch. They go again and again and again."
