Sheffield Wednesday fans have raised just over £77,000 in a fundraiser launched after the Championship team fell into administration.

The Sheffield Wednesday's Supporters Trust launched it with a £20,000 donation late last month, with that amount since topped up by more than £59,000 on GoFundMe.

The cash will go directly towards meeting the running costs of the club while it goes through the administration process.

Administrators have spent the past several weeks preparing the ground for Owls to be sold, with interested parties being shown around Hillsborough.

It's understood there are at least 10 parties interested in buying the club.
