Snow causes disruption across South Yorkshire

The weather is causing some problems across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire this morning, with a lot of schools now closed due to the snow.

We are seeing some problems on roads too, but Sheffield City Council say they have been out gritting since 1am as sleet turned back to snow.

First bus say they have cancelled all services in Sheffield and Rotherham at the moment.

Stagecoach have also stopped their services in Rotherham, any that head out from the Barnsley Depot have also been stopped.

We are also seeing some flood alerts in place in places like Whiston, South Elmsall and Pleasley.

We do have a yellow weather warning in place until later on today for snow and ice.
