Two further arrests over incident in Shirebrook which left man seriously injured

Two men - aged 23 and 30 - are now being questioned

A further two arrests have been made after a man was found seriously injured in Shirebrook over the weekend.

Police believe the victim was attacked in the area of The Gate Inn pub on King Edward Street on Saturday evening (June 28).

He later turned up in hospital.

Video footage of the alleged incident has allegedly circulated on social media, which Derbyshire Police are urging people to send them.

A 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old man have today been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remain in police custody.

Two other men, aged 22 and 20, who were questioned on the same charge, have since been released on bail.
