Huddersfield Giants pair join Sheffield Eagles on loan
Both are in contention to face London Broncos on Sunday
Huddersfield Giants have confirmed centre Darius Carter and back-rower Jack Billington are heading to Sheffield Eagles on a season-long loan deal.
Jamaica International Carter made his Super League debut for Giants last season, becoming one of six to be awarded a professional deal with the club at the end of the campaign.
Billington made his debut at the same time and has made seven appearances for the club so far from the bench, recently putting pen to paper on a new deal lasting until 2027.
Giants' Director of Rugby Andy Kelly said: "Darius and especially Jack this season have provided excellent cover for the first team when needed and have stepped up and done their job professionally."
"However with increasing numbers returning to the first team fold we have allowed them to go out on loan to continue their development and gain game time week in week out."
Both go straight into consideration for Sunday's Championship Round 10 clash against London Broncos.
