A Rotherham man has been jailed for upskirting and taking unwanted pictures of women in public.

33 year old Thomas Hampton, of Mexborough, was arrested earlier this year after a woman in a tanning salon reported someone trying to take a photo of her on a sunbed.

His phone was seized at the time, with dozens of self-recorded videos and photos being found of women.

Several were taken up the skirts of victims.

Hampton admitted to two counts of operating equipment beneath clothing of another without consent and observing a person doing a private act.

He has been jailed for a year and has been handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for seven years.

It means he is banned from owning a phone or any other device with a camera and is also not allowed to enter changing rooms or tanning salons in the UK.
