Arrest made after police plane called to reports of man with gun in Rotherham
The aircraft was seen over South Yorkshire on Saturday night
A man has been questioned on suspicion of firearms offences after an incident which led to a National Police Air Service plane being called out over Rotherham on Saturday.
Police were alerted to sightings of a man with a firearm on Lindum Terrace at 9:58pm on Saturday (July 5).
Officers recovered an airgun from the scene.
A 36-year-old suspect has been bailed pending further enquiries.
