Police search for van driver after 10-year-old hurt in Barnsley crash

Police in Barnsley are searching for a van driver after a 10-year-old boy was hurt in a crash.

An ambulance was called to Church Street in the Brierley area on Tuesday night (May 14).

The boy was taken to hospital with a broken cheekbone and it's believed the van driver drove off.

Police now want to speak to any witnesses and see any dashcam footage from anyone who was in the area at around 17:55BST.

The boy's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
