Police appeal for witnesses after Rotherham crash leaves man fighting for life

Police responded to reports of a road traffic collision at Fitzwilliam Road yesterday

South Yorkshire Police are conducting an investigation following a serious road traffic collision in Rotherham that has left a man in a critical condition in hospital.

The incident happened yesterday (Monday, 30 December) at 6:21 pm on Fitzwilliam Road, Rotherham.

Police say a black Mini Paceman, traveling along Fitzwilliam Road in the direction of Doncaster, collided with a pedestrian.

A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Police, said:

"We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who saw the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident, to come forward.
