Pedestrian dies in Sheffield following collision

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information, footage and witnesses following a collision in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield.

Officers were called to the junction of Manchester Road and Johnson Street at 12.11am on Saturday (8 November). When officers arrived, they found a white Iveco lorry had been in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 63-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by officers.

The driver of the lorry remained at the scene and is supporting police with their investigation.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.
