Barnsley mother admits killing baby in Leeds
The five-month-old girl was taken to hospital after she was found injured in a park in December 2023
A mother from Barnsley has admitted killing her five-month-old, who was found seriously injured in a park in Leeds.
Hayley Macfarlane was arrested on suspicion of murder in December 2023, and has admitted infanticide at Leeds Crown Court.
The baby, Evelyn, was taken to hospital from Woodhouse Moor Park and later died from her injuries.
Ms. Macfarlane, who is 39, is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 13 June.
