A 27 year old man has been questioned over the crash in Mosborough yesterday
An 11 year old girl has died in hospital after being hit by a van on a busy Sheffield road yesterday.
The collision happened on High Street in Mosborough, close to the junction with Station Road, at 4:49pm.
The schoolgirl was struck by a white Ford Transit and was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 27 year old man has arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and traffic offences.
He has since been released on bail.
Witnesses, or anyone who captured dashcam footage at the scene, are being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
