Indie icon Miles Kane to be final act to play Sheffield's Leadmill
He'll take to the stage the night before the legendary venue shuts down
Indie icon Miles Kane will be the final act to play Sheffield's Leadmill later this month.
The singer and musician, before known as a member of The Last Shadow Puppets alongisde Alex Turner, will take to the stage on June 27th, a day before the venue closes.
He's had a long running association with the venue, having first played there in 2011 and returning multiple times as a solo artist.
Miles also opened for The Arctic Monkeys at the venue when he was part of The Little Flames.
Management at the site lost a High Court appeal against being evicted by landlords The Electric Group, who want to take over the Leadmill themselves.
However it will have to be renamed, as the company do not own the rights to the 'Leadmill' name.
To mark the closure a 'Last Dance at The Leadmill' event will be held on June 28, with a lineup yet to be announced.
Management have also confirmed that they will work to relocate acts booked for later in the year to other venues in the city.
